Love Letter from Woodstock

P.S. I decided to go with Louis, after Louis Armstrong, because this typer has soul.

P.P.S. I've written a few pages with Louis now, and after about page three the ribbon randomly reversed direction and started advancing correctly. No idea what triggered the change, I can only assume that in my blind fumbling of the gears, trying to figure out what was broken I accidentally nudged something back into place.

  1. Woodstocks are great typewriters if you can get them working ...

Nice to see this stationery. I've been using the pad that you sent me!

  2. Very nice typeface on the Woodstock. I agree with Richard; very nice stationary.
Maybe all it needs is a bit of use to loosen things up and get it working.

  3. You gave spirit and personality to the "little guy." Have you found a name yet? If you're taking votes––Beast is an affectionate name; Beastie, in the diminutive suits me even better. But then it's not mine.
I've three oldies: Remington Quiet-Riter 11, Smith Corona Classic 12, and the oldest, a Royal Arrow. Not one of them works to my satisfaction. Hungry to find a reliable repair shop in SFL, and sooooo eager to use one or all.
    Enjoyed this post, Sheena. Thanks.
