This is that skirt I promised to show you last week, but wasn't able to photograph.
I used a yard or two of fabric that I've been sitting on for over a year with no idea what to do with it, and a pair of jeans that had worn through in places. Normally, I wear it with a long shirt which covers the fly and pockets it actually fits me better than the dress form, because, as I have to remind myself every time I use it, people are squishy and mannequins are not. This is a very important fact. In order for something to be comfortable on me, it has to be quite snug on
the model.
This week I finally sat down and made the skirt for my Steampunk Symposium costume. I made the center panel last week, but got side tracked before I could finish it. It's done now, except for the last button.
Gee, looking at these skirts now, you really can't tell what the dominant colors in my wardrobe are, can you?
