*grumble grumble*

My camera isn't working.

Really.

The cap on my bottle of water decided yesterday to unscrewitself while it was in my purse. Water all over my cell, laptop, camera, ipod and translator. Thankfully, only the camera seems to be harmed. I'll wait for it to dry out some more and then try again.

It was kind of crappy, anyway.

Episode three of the podcast is up. If you'd like to give it a listen, there's a link the sidebar. Still need to figure out the RSS feed to get it on ITunes.

Um...I think that's it. No fangirl news. Nothing much going on with the Peace Project on my end--just a bit of embroidery.

Some Notes

I just wanted to leave a couple of notes:

1) The third episode of the podcast has been recorded for over a week now, but the connection at school has been bad and mypodcast.com is giving me fits, so I have no idea when it will finally be up.

2) Last night while I was crocheting, I had cold spots shooting from my elbow up to my pinky, which means it is time to take a few days off from knitting and crocheting. Carpal tunnel induced nerve damage is not good. I probably shouldn't even be typing now, but what can I do? Everything I love requires repetitive movements. We'll see how long this break lasts.

3) Yesterday I finished the centerpiece for the Peace Project. You can see a picture on the Flickr group. You can find that link on the 198 Countries Peace Project info page, at the bottom. I would post it here, but my internet connection is really awful and I don't think Flickr will load long enough for me to get the web address for the group.

4)One of the reason I haven't posted the last few days is because of what's going on in Tibet. I said that I would try to keep my political views out of this blog, but I find that that is all I really want to talk about. Therefore, no posts. But I hope that you are all keeping track of events. Episode four of the podcast is going to be dedicated to Tibet, and a few movements that Alice and I are planning.

New Stuff

Hi! I'm tired!

We stayed up to marathon all three Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I knit through the first one, crocheted through the second, and closed my eyes through most of the third, peeking out every once in a while when I knew Will had a good line or something funny was about to happen.

I started a new project yesterday. I'm making myself a top. I started by tracing a different top, and actually used a pattern (!) though it was of my own making. It's sort of a tunic style, with a crossed v-neck. I'm working on the hem now, and only have to put on the cap sleeves. I tried it on, and it's fits a little weird around the boobs, but I think a couple of darts might fix that. I traced a fitted tee shirt for the pattern, because that was the best fit I had, but the top is a woven fabric with only a little stretch.

The podcast is now up. It is not on Itunes, because I am still trying to figure it out, but if you go to the Pomcow blog (link the sidebar), then there are links in the shownotes for the downloads. Please be patient as I figure out these internet things--I'm really no good with computers at all, and I don't really have anyone to help me except a few nice people on Ravelry.

I'm going to go sleep in the computer lounge now. Bye!
